Chapter Report Cards

Since its beginning the Texas State fraternity and sorority community has had an active presence on campus and in the San Marcos community. To ensure our organizations are committed to their founding values the office regularly collects data on new member and chapter GPA, recruitment and retention, community services hours performed, leadership education and professional development programs attended, philanthropic donations, and community involvement.

There are 5 recognition levels chapters can receive; 

 

Recognition Levels Scoring Result

Exceeding

> 105% of Min. Points Chapter has far exceeded the minimum requirement for all 5 sections. Chapter is eligible for Dean of Students Excellence Awards.
Meeting 100% of Min. Points

Chapter has met or slightly exceeded the minimum requirement for all 5 sections. Chapter is eligible for Dean of Students Excellence Awards.

Promise 95% of Min. Points Chapter is within 20 points of minimum requirement. Must create and present "Plan for Improvement".
Probation 85% of Min. Points Chapter is within 21-80 points of minimum level. Must create and present "Plan for Improvement" and Chapter Executive Board must meet with Council Advisor twice a semester. Chapter may not be on Probation more than two consecutive years.
University Review < 84% of Min. Points Chapter is more than 80 points from the minimum requirement.Chapter will be subjected to a university review by an accreditation panel. Chapter's National Headquarters will be informed of the status and additional support with be requested. Chapters may not remain on "University Review" for more than 1 year.

 

Please use these report cards to educate yourself about chapters activities and members. This information is updated at the end of the Spring semester, or as discipline sanctions are applied. Please contact the FSL office directly with questions.

Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

Chapters within the Multicultural Greek Council range from 10-30 members. MGC oversees 3 sororities and 2 fraternities.
